Situated along the banks of Alum Creek, Bexley is a pleasant, affluent suburban city located just east of Downtown Columbus. The city is also home to the Governor’s Mansion—a stately residence with a heritage garden serving as the official home for the governor of Ohio.

Drexel Theatre is a historic 1930s-era landmark in Bexley showing independent and international films. The city’s recreation and parks department maintains several parks, and hosts a number of events and ongoing programs. Jeffrey Mansion is a historic mansion open to the public resting on nearly 40 acres of land in North Bexley. There are two spacious parks near the mansion with walking trails, tennis courts, and a community pool.
